I want to go from the 245/75-17 to a 265/70-17. Does that mess up the displayed miles per hour, the anti-lock brakes, etc? If so, what do I do to make the truck happy with the new tire?

Both tires are very very close in diameter, so you are good.

Just new rubber won't affect how the truck functions, the truck will just assume whatever tire size it's programed for is there. Your speedo and odometer will be slighty wrong, depending on the % change of tire height from stock.

Either dealer reflash (runs $80 last time I had it), or buy a TirePaq programmer to reflash the tire size. The TirePaq can render Tow/Haul non-functional, because apparently it only changes one of the several places where tire size is an input, something about the anti-lock brakes module but not the PCM or something like that. Apparently it can cause bucking or holding gears for too long before shifting, but I never had a problem.

EDIT: I didn't pay attention to the tire sizes you posted before, and you're changing tire size by about .1" calculated (3 revs per mile) on those sizes. No big deal, no need to change anything.

Like the others have said....you are good.
The circumference change is .45% (less than 1/2 of 1 percent) so everything will work as normal.

The AE scan tool has a feature where you can calibrate the speedometer to accommodate major changes in tire size and gear ratios.
