LOL....some of the non "truck guy" type friends might take a little convincing as they wouldn't fully appreciate the significance of a freed up flatty and would have to be schooled.
Of course this "schooling" process might take a frosty or two......
I will pull the engine this weekend and work on getting it on a stand. The plans are to pull it it apart for inspection and clean up, then decide what level of rebuild to shoot for. I will have three bambinos in college next year, so money is pretty much non-existent.

One thing before you start tearing it apart; check and record all your valve clearances. If they are all good, and there aren't any burned valves, that's a good thing ($$$) to skip during the rebuild. (Assuming you keep all the valves identified as to where they go).
