I have a coolant leak I haven't been able to find (previous post).
I may have just found it, I smell antifreeze now in the cab. I see no signs of leakage (probably small) from the heater core area.
Anyone have experience in changing one of these puppies?
Is it difficult? What all is entailed?
First, I may try Prestone's Super Sealer, any thoughts?
Don't waste the time & money on the sealer - just get a good replacement core. It's one of the easies things to change. Just pull the heater hoses at the firewall, the glove box, & then the large flat black plastic cover you see inside the dash. The core will almost fall out. Make sure you have the foam gaskets on the new one before you put it in.
