Went to the big auto show today. Checked out all the new trucks. Of course the Fords, but I also saw the GMC Sierra Denali, the RAM Larimie Longhorn, Silverado HD and all the other inferior vehicles (cars).
I have to say I am even more convinced I chose the best vehicle. The others just did not compare. While some had a little fancier interior (Denali), overall I still liked the Ford better. I am slightly prejudice though since I already ordered mine. While hanging around the Fords, I was able to answer quite a few of the other spectators' questions when the Ford guys were busy. Had one guy say "you either work for Ford or own one of these bad boys". He was close.
I did decide I want those AMP retractable steps. They are too cool and will look much better on my F250 than the chrome tubulars I ordered. Have to call tomorrow and cancel them. Also decided I need that body color painted grille frame that the King Ranch has. Have to check with the parts department on that one.
Saw some nice Porches, Benzs, Lexi, etc. Still glad I am getting a truck!
Did have some fun with the Ford guys though...I asked everyone I saw how the Explorer was voted the truck of the year 2011. Got some funny looks. Best answer was "cuz it's a SUV".
