2011 F250 crew 4x4 Question

Hellofficeffice" /><O></O>
I was wondering if there is a way to lower the rear of the truck about an inch without voiding the warranty or hurting the tow/hauling performance. The back of the cab of the truck is just a little too tall to get into my garage. Thanks in advance.<O></O>

It might be easier to move the header of the opening up a bit. Get a case of beer and invite your local carpenter over.

1000 pounds of sand should do it! Seriously, I almost came to the same problem as you are having. My F350 clears my door by less than 1 inch. I don't think you can do anything "cheaply" to the suspension to get the clearance.

I am modifying the door because the clearance on top is too tight as well I need to tuck the mirrors to get it in. If the garage door is not a load bearing wall, modifying it is not a big issue that a contractor can do for you. Mine is load bearing and I need to put in another header to allow me to have the 10 foot wide door I want.

Thanks guys, I have the clearance on the garage door, I just have a steel beam that runs across the center of the garage. I put 800 pounds in it the other day and the front end came up a little. I still cleared but it was soooooo close. I would like to have a little wiggle room if i could. Just hate to have that thing sitting outside. Any other ideas? Thanks again.

It is holding the house up I guess, its boxed in drywall but I took the bottom piece of drywall off and thought that would give me enough room but I still need a little more. Thanks

I would advice against it, the reason being the f250 already sits almost exactly level, there may be .5-1" more height in the back but thats it. you would be sagging the back with no load on the truck by doing that.

Your 250 has 2" blocks bolted in the rear axle. You could have custom 1" blocks made and buy some new Ubolts. It would only cost a few hundred $s.

Smaller rims and/or tires? When the factory rubber runs out you could always go with a slightly lower profile tire. No not the ones you see rolling around on the old impalas, just a slightly lower profile truck tire.
