I am having some trouble with the old F-250... I am having some issues with a terrible squeak in the dash when I go over a bump and there are rattles that are driving me crazy! I took it to the dealer and got the "I don't hear it" excuse... I demonstrated it to him even and then I got the ol' "Thats normal" excuse. It didn't do it when it was brand new and now that it has 8,000 miles on it, they are getting worse. I just want them to stop, I have been complaining about them since it had 3k on the odometer, and they won't fix them. Anyone else having these troubles? If there is a Ford engineer running around please please help me. This is a nearly $60k truck I don't use it off road, shouldn't it wait a little longer to start making all these noises at me? Any ideas?
Yea, Mines got a rattle on the passenger side when hitting small bumps like on a gravel road.. I have cleared all the "junk" out of the door pockets as well as the glovebox to see if is that making the noise & it's still there..
Next I am gonna take off the door panel & make sure all is tight.. but it actually seems a little further forward like under the dash.. or maybe up under the floorpan near the firewall..
Yea - it real aggravating - with only 15K, but I cannot blame Ford totally because the roads I drive tend to loosen things up ...
I have that one, plus the squeak in the dash... I don't drive any terrible roads, it has mostly seen I-20 and other well paved roads. I don't know why it is doing it or how to get it solved. I've called Ford for problems, and I always get the same answer, take it to another dealer.... I don't have any other dealers to go to. I just want it to be fixed.
This is my one major complaint about the truck. I love everything else. My thinking is that a $65,000 truck shouldn't be making these noises when it is new.
I have some sort of rattle in mine as well. I only have 900 miles on the truck and it driving me crazy. I am still trying to find the source before I take it to the dealership. Seems to be coming from the middle part of the dash.

That is where mine is. I'm about ready to start taking the dash apart to find it.
I have a rattle in the middle of my dash, sounds as if behind the radio.
It shows up around 1,100 RPM so mostly when I'm driving in/out of my subdivision.

Same here, behind the radio. Sounds like a small marble rolling around to me. My driver's door squeaks and tweaks to as the truck flexes over bumps and such. Annoying as hell.

Yup, when my truck gets in the twisties it sounds like the truck is going to break apart.
I think it's coming from the top of dash storage bin. If I apply downward pressure to the bin Thingy it goes away! These trucks should NOT rattling or squeaking! It's really annoying.
