I just traded my 05 F250 for an 06 F250 Badlander. I noticed on the 12 hour drive home that it surges. It is seems to be more noticable while accelerating, and even more when the engine is cold. I didn't notice it on the first test drive, but did a little on the second test drive. I thought it might have been bad fuel, but after 3 tanks, it still does it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

EGR valve, carbon build, EBP tube.. start there.

Thanks guys, it was the VGTA. I also found that the FICM was going bad but it was not the cause of the surging.
