Need a carb spacer for a 75 460
My father recently gave me my grandfathers 1975 F 150 Ranger. The truck sat for about 15 years. I restored the motor and it started right away. A/C and heater even work great. Only problem is when we started it we noticed that it was leaking gas from the gasket under the carb spacer. When we removed the spacer we found that it had deteriorated. The only part on the truck that did so. My problem is that I haven't been able to locate a spacer to match. The spacer has a protrusion from one side that covers a hole, and this is where it deteriorated. I don't know much about mechanics. LOL! I am learning. As far as I know it's the original carb. It's a 7.5L 460/4 brrl. If anyone can help I'd surely appreciate it. This is the only thing holding me up. Here's a link to a picture of the spacer i'm trying to find.

Its not a spread bore, just the secondaries are that big. I think the ones i have the secondaries are about the same size as the primaries. Also, yours did not look it had the egr on it. I would suggest talking to your buddies that are building 460s. They more than likely would be putting on aftermarket intakes and not using the spacer, so they might have them laying around. or salvage yards.

Yes, it's a spread bore carb, a Motorcraft 4350 to be precise. The later square bore spacers were produced with cast iron, as the original aluminum spacers would eventually melt like Trevor's
I recently changed mine to a Holley square bore, and have the original adapter available if you still need it Trevor. It's off my '76, and has about 65k miles on it, so it hasn't melted yet. I picked up a square bore manifold and spacer at a local pick-n-pull wrecking yard for about $50.
