4.9L parts brands to use / avoid ...
Sometimes there are many different vendors for a given part, and while I recognize the big names, I'm ready to accept that other brands could be just as good.
I know to "say away from the Zone", but I'd like to hear from others about any pattern of PROBLEM experiences with any brands below.
I know people that for any question "Motorcraft" is the only answer, and I really don't need to hear that again in the answer to this query. But there are times when some of these alternatives are half-price (or less!) compared to the most expensive option, and often, for me, a small difference in quality does not justify a large difference in price. So here's the list, and feel free to add whatever is missing ...

Food for thought, 95% of parts sold at Carquest as their top of the line blue box "Carquest" brand, are actually name brand parts w/o the name. Some that I know of for sure:
Carquest blue box brakes: Raybestos
Carquest oil: Valvoline
Carquest blue box chassis parts: Moog
These are what I know of for sure, there are probably many more there
