The pump is on the frame rail like under the drivers seat. You should hear it run pretty easily. Also make SURE you have at least 1/4 tank of fuel or it could just be sucking air from the pickup.
I know I have at least 1/3 tank. I'm just limited to when I can get to it so I have to be very choosy about what path to go down when I work on it. I'm trying to get as much input as I can before I go and doing something or buy something.
So did turned the key on and not even alittle noise from the pump. New pump it is. Any recommendations or just go with OEM?
If you can start the truck that means the pump is running. I guess the pump could be weak. You could have clogged screens in the tank. Did you ever check the fuel pressure? Clay in my signature has a good deal on an oem pump if you need one.
I can start the truck but the bowl didn't refill when I turned on the key. It doesn't make any sound once I turn the key. I when ahead and order a pump and a HP oil Crossover.

These trucks will usually idle somewhat without the fuel pump running. The injectors can siphon a little bit. I've pulled a truck into the shop with a blown fuel pump fuse before.
Ok, I ran it for about 30 minutes and checked Rotational Velocity Change on no. 8. After it warmed up it ran about 4 to 6%. I ran Cylinder Contribution Test and it threw the same code as earlier. It smoked white the whole time and gradually got alittle better as it warmed up. The more RPMs the more white smoke. It also threw something about a Exhaust Back Pressure Valve Range when I ran the KOER Test. I'm thinking maybe some bad injector o-rings or fuel delivery issues. Any advice before I pull the Valve Covers Off? Also, how long does it take to pull the valve covers, I will be working in a shop that I have to have the truck out when it closes.

That's good to know. The first quote he ran it for 30 minutes. Could you run that long w/o a working fuel pump?
