Front Axle Question

I am considering the Purchase of and F 250 Powerstroke truck 96-97 The 97 I am looking at has the solid front axle. I previously had a 96 with 351 and the independent front axle (split) Does anyone have experience with ride qualities, I like a truck ride and my 96 did real well, but the solid, will it be more harsh of a ride?

if your 96 was a 250/350 you ride quality will be nearly the same. Some claim the Dana 50 TTB is a better ride. In my experience the difference is slim if any.
