You might regret that since Ca. now does diesel smog checks. Started this year.

I had an injector go bad on my '08 F-250 which ruined the DPF. Warranty covered all expenses, but on the bill I received from the dealer it showed the filter was $1600.00, the labor to install it was not broken out so I do not know that number.
That is the price Ford payed the dealer for as warranty work. Guaranteed you won't buy it for that price.
"5H221 Exhaust Diesel Particle Filter
6.4L Diesel V8 Twin Turbo Wide Frame (Pickup) $1,758.91"
Stright off of Ford's Parts Website.
If you buy from a dealer, you will most likely pay more than that.

[QUOTE=nycsteve;9419120]Anyone have an idea what Ford charges for this? I heard the part alone is 2K. I dont have an issue, its just a question that came up
I just left my Ford dealership and they said it was going to cost me an estimated 8k. I left because I could not do that right now.
