E4OD & EDIS?

Wikipedia says that in '97 Expeditions came equipped with a 4.6 & E4OD. That should also have an EDIS-8 ignition.

Is this information true?

If you mean ONLY with the 4.6 then no it's not correct, because my 97 has the 5.4L engine.

I should have said '97 Expeditions with 4.6L & 5.4L had E4OD & EDIS.

What is the Program Code on the ECU in your '97 Expedition?

Ford uses a number of program codes on the ECUs as there are variables due to the emissions output of each engine at the time of assembly. They are not all the same even truck to truck coming off the assembly line.
