ok, got another one for ya

ok heres the deal...i have a push button switch on my 56. it doesnt work anymore..i got a new one..rewired it, it still wont start with the button..i have to jump it on the start solenoid for it to start...its not a bad solenoid...ive replaced it a zillion times...what else could it be??

Trace the leads, sounds like maybe one is broken, corroded or hanging on by 2 strands.

Along with Carl's advice to follow the leads, I'd suspect the key switch part of the ignition.

ok, got another one for ya

Try turning your ignition switch on and putting a test light on the wires going to the button to see if one of the wires are hot, if it is then it's the wire going to the solenoid, and if it isn't hot then it's either a fuse or the ignition switch.

ha...i found the problem...my solenoid, ignition switch, and push button are fine. it was my fuse box the whole freakin time....FINALLY!!! Thanks for your help everyone
