Electric shift on fly
Msrp 31755
Out the door 25406
(out the door has about 1100$ in tax tags title in it)
Is the buckets worth 600? Does power equip get me cruise control?
What is the verdict on the electric shift on fly? Im trying to KISS And think i wojld rTher have a transfer case...
The deal on the higher price one seems better but im not sure about that fancey electric 4x4
I've never had issues with the electric 4 wheel drive on any of my trucks and it's nice to open up the floor a bit, it's also easier to engage on the fly and still be able to see where you're going. For less than $1k I'd be all over truck #2.
Manual transmission and manual hubs means a far simpler truck. Automatic transmission problems (mostly 4R100 but even a few 5R110W problems) and ESOF problems by far outweigh manual transmission and manual hub problems.

Arguably there are far more ESOF automatic trucks out there...

X2
I have ESOF, but it is always better in my opinion to have the simplest setup on a vehicle.
IMO, manual transfur case with a switch on the dash for the hubs, with them manual locking as a back up would be best.
You would have the best of both worlds. You could engage 4wd without getting out in the mud and if it broke you could still use it just like if it was manual.
As far as I know nobody has ever done a setup like that, but I have thought about doing it to my truck that has manual locking hubs now.
Sorry to go off topic. I would spend a little more and get truck number two for the bucket seats and power group.
Hmm ithink ill try both types of seats and that will be the decider. On reg cab power windows dont really matter to me, and i dont use the key fob because its to big to cqrry around. Ill let yall know. The more basic truck is 400miles and the more expensive is 280. I neee to see if they are goig to truck themmor drive it here...

You lock the hubs if you think you may need 4 wheel drive. Then all you need to do is pull the lever down one notch to lock in 4H. It really isn't a big deal.
You can try autrqder or the like but alit of those listings are out of date. What worked for me is i called a bunch of dealers and had them search for me. Try your local, 90minutes south, 90 minutes west etc that way they are searching different areas. It took me two weeks o find the right truck(s)
On autotrade, I plug in Manual transmission into the search and mostly automatics show up. Total pain. Calling dealers can drive you nuts...They will bug you forever.
I started a search process with my local dealer and I had the impression there is some sort of internal inventory database they can access. Here it was a $75 charge to get any truck transported from another dealer, although I don't know if they drove it over or shipped it.
