LCD DVD Headrests

Has anyone ordered or attempted to order the LCD DVD players installed in the back of the headrests? The reason I ask is when my truck was ordered my dealer said the computer program would not allow the selection and that it stated late availability. If this is the case, why would Ford make it an option on their website where you can "build & price" your vehicle?

I am still set on getting the DVD players so now the dealer is going to order the kit from Ford and install it after delievery which makes me a little nervous. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this.

That's why i didn't order mine with dvd. Shouldn't be any difference if the dealer installs it. The factory warranty should be the same.

There are some options that even if you order them "from the factory" their actually installed at the dealer anyways. I believe that is the case with the dvd headrests.

I haven't heard of anyone actually able to order the dvd headrests and receiving them in their build.

If you look at the latest October order guide (and even those previous to it), it comes up as one of the options/packages that's been deleted. Still doesn't explain why you can build it on the site. Regardless, they can order directly from Ford and install, leather, etc will all match.

It almost looks to me like the front seat would need to be leaned back quite a bit for a good viewing angle on those.

They are in their locked position in the pictures. The actual screen is hinged at the base so they can directly face the passenger.

My only complaint is the headrest is tilted forward slightly more than the stock headrests. It hasn't really been an issue but every now and then I can feel the headrest brushing up on the back of my head.
