At the moment i have a stock 2000 Ford Expedition EB. I am looking at getting an aftermarket DVD reciever. I would also like to put some lcd's in the front seat headrest as well as the first row's headrest. Has anyone on the forums ever did this on there own? Have some advice or pictures? Thinking about doing this myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
We considered this a few years back and we decided to buy the small DVD/Monitor sets that you strap to the headreast instead. The set we have allows each unit to play it's own DVD and the big advantage is the units have their own speakers so you can use the radio set to the front and the kids can listen to their movie with or without headphones.
It is also nice being able to remove them from the truck as we have been on vacation and the kids will watch DVDs on their player in the room.
The built-in units look better and the cords are not in the way but for us we will stick to the strap on units and our 2000 even has an LCD TV mounted to the ceiling but the kids still prefer the head rest mounted units.
