98 door lock problem
My wife's 98 expedition will unlock the drivers door with the remote and not the others on the second click. Also, you can lock all the doors with remote and door switches, but not unlock any with the door switches. An under dash relays clicks and that is all. I checked fuses, and swapped switches around. Any ideas before I go to the dealer?

It is possible that the lock/latching mechinism is in need of some WD-40. I would suggest using plenty of WD on every door lock/latch assembly. Many have tried this and have had success. Good luck.

Chilton's manual for this series vehicle has a good checklist to go through to reveal the problem. I ended up replacing the solenoids in the driver's and passengers doors for about $120, installed myself in about an hour.
