It's time to do the stuff needed on a regular basis, before it gets nasty. These are on my list. Anyone got a lube chart for BonusBuilts?

Oil door hinges -- why do you think pins get so hard to remove?

Grease chassis -- supposed to be done every 1,000 miles?!

Lube leaf springs -- hose 'em down with used oil

Adjust drum brakes -- amazing the difference this makes

Lube e-brake cables and bellcrank -- I take them loose from the bellcrank, move them off to the outside and hold them up high, and drip oil down them

Check diff, steering box, and trans oil -- maybe yours don't leak?!

Change antifreeze, flush system -- flatheads love clean cooling systems

Brake fluid flush -- every 2 - 3 yrs keeps the rubber happy

Clean & grease door regulators -- they get full of sand around here

 

nag, nag, nag, nag, nag.....

 

Shoot more squirrels and chipmunks

I think you need to fix the canceler on the right turn signal!!!!!!!! ( or are you still making the right turn?)

 

Don't forget to empty out the air compressor.

 

I have two lube charts - take your pick. One is a TEXACO Chart and the other is out of the 49-51 Shop Manual. Works for Bonus Built and Economy Built thru 51:
