Weird Noise in Cab

First time driving the new truck in steady rain and I am hearing what sounds like water dripping in the cab. But no water is coming in ??

Question for anyone who has done the door seal Modification with the 3/8 tube? did it work on getting rid of the wind noise and maybe that also is the reason I am hearing this water dripping noise.

I also hear the water when I am driving, it sounds like loud, hard hitting drops of water, they are not inside, but definately outside the driver window.

I have 2 cars that make this sound. It's the rain hitting the B pillars which have plastic trim on them. Maybe something similar?
