Spent a little more time on the brakes so I could get this thing rolling again. With the aid of my 1976 Truck Shop Manual I was able to ID the front brakes as Wagner, dual cylinder, single piston, 15” x 3” drum brakes. And, with a photo copy of the parts diagram, Napa Walt was able to track down all the necessary replacement parts.

Bought 4 of these front brake hoses (part # 38320);

Hose UP 38320 | NAPA Auto Parts

Painted the brake backing plates and installed 2 new drivers side wheel cylinders (part # 37033 );

Wheel Cylinder UP 37033 | NAPA Auto Parts

and 2 new passenger side wheel cylinders (part # 37034);

Wheel Cylinder UP 37034 | NAPA Auto Parts

New shoes (part # ? );

and spring kits (part # 2317);

Hardware Kit UP 2317 | NAPA Auto Parts

and two new front brake drums (part # 120705);

BRAKE DRUM TWD 2850 | NAPA Auto Parts

and seals (part # 28830);

Seal NOS 28830 | NAPA Auto Parts

So, remember I said that I drilled some holes in the roof for future reference? Well….

I installed my cab marker lights (part #20-225);

http://www.jcwhitney.com/pacer-light...8&&filterid=u0

A rotating beacon (part # FD1A);

Federal Signal Corporation Traditional Style Rotator Beacon- Amber Lens | AW Direct

And a couple air horns (part #ACHRSK-650x2);

Pair of BIG RIG Semi Truck Air Horns 152db Single Rectangle 24 in

I installed the fiberglass hood scoop (part # 901-5004) that I got from JC Whitney. Can’t seem to find it on their site now.

Painted the hood and installed my decals. Did a mock up with the fenders and grill from my parts truck.

By this time it was mid November, 2010 and I had completely run out of decent weather so I pushed the truck into the shelter for the winter.

The winter doldrums

Well, I think you can all guess what came next…

Yup. Painless Performance Universal wiring harness (part # PRF-10202)

Painless Performance 28-Circuit Universal Harnesses 10202 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

This was a great project to be working on in the shelter during the long New England winter! With limited heat and poor lighting you can bet I got a lot done.

Hi, do you know the bore diameter of the master cylinder of what you installed?
I called Napa no details avail, thanks.

PS, I like the hood scoop it will make the hauling that much faster

No I don't bigcrunch, sorry. I guess I could find out if I pull the master cylinder but I kinda don't want to mess up the shiny paint. What's your application?

It is a 73 F600 with Hydravac that I want to eliminate and convert to firewall mount like yours.
Does the MC have a casting number?
