TX Anti-theft Program-HEAT

For those that may not be aware, the DPS has an anti theft program called HEAT. It requires you to register your vehicle and they will send you a decal to go on the inside under the mirror and a decal to go on the outside at the back window. If the vehicle is seen after 1 am or before 5 am it will be stopped and the driver checked. If the vehicle attempts to enter Mexico at any time( with the white sticker) it will be stopped. The link is www.txdps.state.tx.us/heat/ You will need to know the vehicle description, Vin #, Lic. date(2003), Lic. #, color, and drivers info such as owners name, 2 alternate drivers names, address, phone#, and drivers lic #. I would suggest that you choose the white sticker as the yellow(optional) will allow the vehicle to cross into Mexico during daylight hours. Hope this helps.
