I've been that high, you should be OK unless you have gone a long way that way. For sure, get the true cool!!

Those are high temps pulling that small trailer, maybe you have a blockage in the old cooler? According to Mark you can run 220 all day long and up to 250 for short (less than 1/2hr) times without doing damage.

Had a bad ground on the gauge. It now reads 180 with no load. See what it does with the trailer tonight. Thanks.

I get 335 hp out of my 460 an it has the same trans when it was stock that thing could keep my feet warm an my cab warm with no heater on. Then i got it built an now i have to use the heater in my truck i win some lose some. But I agree with every one on the trans the e40d was the weak link in these trucks. But how would a stock 5speed hold up to stage 1's?

The 5 speed trans will hold up fine, but a better clutch is needed.

Most here go with a Single Mass Flywheel and a good clutch from Valair.
