PLEASE HELP!!! NO SPARK

hi guys im trying to fix my sisters 94 mazda b3000 "ford ranger" with 3.0 engine... to make a long story short her boyfriends brother tried to change the battery on it while the truck was runing and arked the hot... "ive told her a million times not to let people tuch her truck!" however now im stuck with the mess of trying to fix it...

i at first thought computer but everything seems to be ok like ti wants to start cept im getting no spark... so i whent to relays first hoping for a easy fix!! LOL! there good... checked emergency fuel shut off switch... then checked the coil and saw i was getting no spark...

my friend told me about a plug that grounds the distributor for to set timing... he said unplug it and check to see if you get spark... i did and got plenty of spark!! he then said if you get spark replace the distributor wich i just got done doing and no luck still no spark cept for when the plug is not in... and thats only at the coil... please some one give me some kind of advice here.. i know my post is prolly confusing but im just at my wits end... its a whole lot easier when its machanical but throw human error in there and its all bad!

You should try posting this in the Ranger section. You will get more responses.

Sounds like you are not getting power to the Computer.
Check that the red wires are hot with the key on.
If not and the power relay is clicking check the power diode and fuse link at the starter relay to the power relay (yellow wire).

Note the wire colors are for a F-series truck and I am think the ranger should be the same.
