2.9 V-6 Engine

could anbody tell me where the EGR VALVE is located on a 1987 Ford Ranger with a 2.9 engine?

EGR valve location

As your looking at the engine from the radiator end. It is on the front right hand side of the top intake manifold. Its mounted with 2 bolts on a flange. When you get it off check to see if the hole into the manifold is clogged. Mine was and caused the ERG error code.
