Oil/Engine noise help
My 71 F100 5.9L FE reads 61838 miles. Most likely 161838. After putting an entire new exhaust system on it to fix all the leaks I noticed some engine noise. I was running 10w40 at the time year round. I put 20w50 with a quart of lucas in to see if the noise would quite down at all but it didnt seem to make a difference. I did notice that my oil pressure light turns off almost immediately with 20w50 and the 10w40 would take 3-4 sec. I was wondering if I should just keep running 20w50 because its noisy or go back. Also with winter coming I'm a bit nervous to run it all winter even though it will start in 36 degrees no problem as we already hit that one morning. I dont want to do any damage to any seals or damage my oil pump or drive. I have takin apart an FE before to find the pump drive twisted but it was do to the pump locking up. Please help. Any feedback or experience would me much appreciated. Thanks
