So a couple weeks ago my batteries go dead.(only 11 months old)Replaced them under warranty,so all was good.Now they are dead again.my alternator is toast,bad grinding etc.So I picked up a replacement,and figured I would do the belt also.WOW!!! that is a pita.i have 81,000 on 04'.I hope I really needed this darn belt.Anyways,I will hopefully get it finished in the A.M.Thanks for anyones support.
The belt isn't too bad once you have done it once or twice. The trick is to pull up on the belt at the alt on the passenger side of the pully. Then with anouther person, or your other hand, lock the tensioner by pressing in the spring loaded lock. Remove and replace the belt. Once you have it routed through all the pullies just pull up on the belt again at the same spot to release the lock.
