Back-Up Camera Adjustment

Was wondering if there is a way to adjust the view angle of the back-up camera? Mine appears to be a little off center.

Thanks,
Will

I don't believe that you can adjust camera angle. Appears 'off-center' due to camera position being slightly off center to the truck.

I'm not aware of any adjustment. I do know to turn off the back assist while the tailgate is down.....damn, that thing will scream at you and DON'T look at the back screen while moving forward (for the short time before it goes out) with the tailgate down either, you'll get dizzy.

Yea, tailgate down becomes annoying so quickly you have to turn it off.

I added an aftermarket camera to my job 1 08, in the stock tailgate handle. How close to the truck can u see? How wide? How far away?

I think i am about a foot away from the bumpers is as cola as I can see.

Backup camera adjustment

Hi everyone. There must be some way to adjust the backup camera. Had the tailgate off a few weeks ago. The orentation if the camera is obviously different. Is there some way to adjust it besides banging the tailgate around?

How about some info on your truck? Year would be good.

Earlier model trucks had the camera in the tailgate handle. Later model trucks had the camera in the bezel on the tailgate. The handle is slightly off center but should not be off enough to make a tremendous difference.

If your camera is in the handle, you can try removing the cover and see if you can relocate the handle slightly or maybe shim one side or the other. to correct it.
