Intake location idea.

Ok, since i have this thing lifted 4" I have alot of room between the body and the bumper. I wonder what you think of making a large intake "scoop" just below the drivers side turn signal? I wanted to do the cowl intake on this body but can't find a suitable location. Would there be enough air and pressure at this are to get the ram effect?

its all body lift? why dont you start by moving the bumper up, then cutting some holes in it, like 4" holes for lights but instead fill it with some tight grill mesh and run ducts from it to the intake?

I left the bumper in the stock location due to the fact that it doubles as my plow mount. I built it before I lifted the body.

Not sure if there's a chance of creating a ram effect, but drive through a deep puddle it'll sure ram water up that intake.

Well it would only be about 6-8" lower than the stock intake opening. It would also have the huge *** bumper that sticks out about 6" in front of the truck to protect it.
