F-350 leaking gear oil

F-350 leaking gear oil
I've got an '89 f-350 and it looks like its leaking gear oil right by the driver's front wheel. I initially thought it was my caliper leaking due to the location of the leak along with my brakes feeling a little spongy. I replaced the caliper and its still leaking, one of my buddies mentioned it may be the front diff and the more I look at it the more it makes sense. Any idea on what could cause this to leak? I want to get this fixed asap before i drive it anymore.
