ign. switch with auxilary position

my dent has a ignition switch with no auxilary position i was wondering if swapping out for one with the aux. was as simple as unpluging the old one and replaceing it with the aux?

I haven't seen a switch without the aux. position. Maybe your switch is bad to begin with. I looked in the Ford parts catalog and it only shows three switches, one each for 73-76, 77, 78-up. It doesn't say anything about a switch w/ or w/o aux. position.

I've never see any switch with an AUX position

Very few don't have an Accessory position though. These have double sided keys

Only those that had push button start. The keys are one-sided though.
