On Board Computer
Does anyone knoe where I can buy the interface cable (model # ?)and software to allow me to read my diagnostic codes with my laptop. I tried E-Bay but haven't been able to find one there. Most of what they have is the older ECC diagnostic stuff. I could go to the dealer but I am sure that it is not cheap throught them. I thought about building the cable myself but I would need to know the pin outs for the cable and I guess I would need the software still, unless it uses a standard protocol. Any info would be a help. Thanks

go to www.obd-2.com. I purchased the cable from them for about $120 and the software is freeware. I just started playing with it this afternoon, so I cant comment too much. I am noticing that it is a little buggy, but so far so good.
