I'm ready to take a nap...got the spare tire mount made up and tire in place. Mounted and balanced 4 tires for son's car. Think I'll either try to get a tire machine or pass the next time. Hammer and tire irons suck.

id say get the machines... ive seen the mounter machines go for 900 outta harbor freight... and depending on how techie you want the balancer to be you can get them from either $30-$2000 harbor freight i know has a nice little cheapo one... the techier ones can find easily on line...
A guy I know has a Coats 20-20 machine. Depending on when you talk to him, he wants $3-500 for it. But, it is really buried in his shop. Stuff piled all over it. It was last seen about 2 yrs ago. I saw a nice one in the Stuart, VA school bus garage. You roll the tire over to it, the machine picks it up and goes to work. No lifting involved. We've got a bubble balancer but, still have to lift the tire on and off. Had 4 used tires balanced in VA for $10. Here in NY it's about $16-20 per tire.
