Had them turned on and they simply stopped working. I'll check the fuses in the morning...but is there any other common problems that would cause this? and if so what is the fix.
If the fuse isn't blown you "may" have lost the wiper motor. It's not the first time I've seen a wiper motor fail. Something good to get from a junk yard to save some $$
Worst case scenario is the GEM module which is pretty pricey. My GEM went out and the first thing I lost was the windshield wipers, then the power windows quit working. The GEM is a simple fix but the part is 280.00 from Ed.
Mine was not working a year ago when I bought it. I replaced it and last night the wiper went up half way the window and stopped. I messed with the switch and got it to go back down. That's possibly 2 wiper motors in a year, maybe around 5k miles of use. I am hoping mine maybe the switch
lol, dunno how to test them, I just replace them. My wife's went out on her Sanoma when we were engaged, I scared the crap out of her one day by going to the junk yard, getting one, going to her work and replacing it while she was working and deliberately left the wipers on full blast so when she came out to start that little wanna-be truck her wipers went crazy!!!
Had to take the hood off and everything in the parking lot, lol.
Update:
bought a new wiper motor. All that got me was an extra wiper motor that I can't return because it's electrical!
Dropped it off at the ford garage. They just called me back and said it must be wiring. And from here on it looks like I'll be paying them to troubleshoot
Only input I got is I might have the same problem. Mine is starting to hang up halfway the window and this one has only been in the truck for about 5 months
Ok so heres what Im gathering:
1. Replaced the wiper switch.
2. Replaced the wiper motor. Are you getting power to the motor??
3. No blown fuses , so there is no dead short anywhere.
4. Could be a wiring issue. I took one of my trucks to the dealer and they told me it was a wiring issue but turned out being a GEM module.
5. Could be a GEM module.
Let me know what options you have on your truck and I may be able to supply you with a spare GEM that you could test out on your truck.
Year?
power windows?
Automatic/manual transmission?
Keyless entry(Key FOB)?
ESOF or Manual 4wd?
Mine quit working all together now. It sux because when I bought it, they worked half the time. I replaced the motor and it solved the problem. Well now she has stopped again. How much is it to replace the switch? Everything else works on it , rear wipers, wiper fluid etc. I'm leaning towards the wiring or the GEM. The windows work fine so could it still be the gem?
Hi everyone. I have no wipers, no gauges and radio wont go off with the key. I was able to remove a small relay on the inside fuse panel that allows the radio to work normal with on /off with the key.
I guess the big question here is, would the gem module affect the gauges ?
my wipers went out, then I lost the horn,
It takes as while for my gauges to come to life only a minute or so. And now and then the door locks wont work. Bought new door switches, bought new wiper switch, bought new wiper motor. My truck doesn't have a gem. And I'm getting power to the wipe motor. I need the wipers I can live without the horn.
Any help folks. Ford wants 90$ an hr.

This thread is from 2010 and you might get more help if you start a new one. But I will say if you are getting power to the motor and it isn't working then it can only be a grounding issue. If I recall there are electronics in the housing and the motor always has power, the multifunction switch sends ground signals to the electronics in the motor housing which tells it what to do..The replacement motors are very specific to certain years and depending on if you have intermittent wipers or not.
