Probably going to do a hardwood laminate. Right now it's tile right on a concrete slab on grade, so just trying to do something to create a bit of a thermal break and keep the room a bit warmer.

That should work for what you are intending to accomplish
Bill I have the same stuff that I am planning on putting down in my basement as I finish off part of it. This will be going directly on the slab with the underlayment underneath. I just realized, I have had the materials down there for a few years and it is still all in the original boxes.....lol.
