In this case, he got a low injection pressure DTC. I think it is highly likely that he actually does have oil pressures (high pressure side) that are low.
I agree 100% with Mark.It is an 05 with a hot no start with a low ICP code! What else does a guy need a letter from god.He has a high pressure oil leak and it is either the SCT fitting at the pump or blown o rings on the dummy plugs. Why make more out of it than it appears until the obvious is checked out?

He doesn't need a letter from god, just the air leak test.
Note: I am in the habit of minimizing repairs while keeping it in top condition.
It is just about always the STC!
I was always hoping that Ford would step up to the plate and cover the cost of replacing the fitting with the updated ridged plate regardless of the mileage, but I guess if it wasn't the fitting it would be the?
Since the STC replacement I have used the truck like it was new pulling heavy loads with confidence.

Should my oil pressure gauge show pressure during cranking only? Truck would not start again after it got hot and is going to the dealer on Monday. Same DTC of 2199 "fuel injector low pressure - excessive cranking. It seemd to be fixed after inspecting and shifting all the wire harnesses and felt as those the transmission cold shifting problems got corrected. Maybe I have more than one problem? But, I can't complain too mutch since I have 190,000 miles and have had no issues!
Yes the pressure in the cab gauge should come up with extended cranking, that is the base oil pressure(LPOP) low pressure oil pump doing it's job.The LPOP feeds the oil to the HPOP that is used to fire the injectors. You have a classic "hot no start" most likely a leak in the HPO system by the sound of things.Eventually if not addressed it will leave you stranded but yours will be fixed right away by the sound of it.

On mine, oil pressure gauge on dash doesn't move until it starts.
Hmm have you checked fuel pressure at the fuel filter test port?
Brickie was dead on. My High Pressure oil branch connector had failed. Mechanic was nice enough to show me exactly how it failed and it was worn to the point of the connection being able to vibrate out of the coupling just enough to screw up the oil pressure. Also found turbo unison ring was corroded and needed replacement along with serpantine belt and tensioner. So, $2,200.00 later evreything works fine again. Apparently this part is failing VERY often on higher mileage trucks. The mechanic showed me his bag of replacement oil branch tubes which Ford has redesigned and cannot wear out like the old one. Still, 190,000 with very few repairs is damn good to me! Thanks everyone for your help! Greg
