I now have 3.08 rear ends in my truck with a 4 speed i want to put at least 3.55 in it. I got two questions question one what is the diffrence between 3.08-3.55-3.73-4.10 and not just that one is higher than the other Also about how mcuh more power will it give me?
Lower gears (higher number) will improve your rear wheel torque.
Torque is multiplied through your ratio. So whatever torque your getting once it has passed through your tranny - it will be multiplied by your rear end gear ratio. I wouldn't go to 4.10s if you have stock tires cause your gas mileage will hurt due to pretty high revves going down the highway.
