Naw ya don't. No ac! 2.34 J shift low range. 2.46 first gear c-4 with no overdrive or lock up converter. No fi! 28 spline rear 9". Small u-joint front dana 44. Least it has PS and front disc brakes (most didn't).
Now ifin it had EFI, 4R70W, AC, 31 spline rear axle, chrome molly full size front axle shafts, 3 speed t-case, well you get the idea.
I got an 84 Bronco II, 2.8 V6, carbed, C-5 3 speed auto with no OD. B/W 1350 T-case with (i think) a 2.45 low, Dana 28 & Ford 7.5 with 3.73 gears. I do have PS and PDB. Less than 1K invested (I`m pretty sure). Smiles per dollar is way off the charts. I don`t think I could built a jeep for that unless I scored an XJ pretty cheap and it was pretty well set up already. Thing about the EB is that the cool factor is WAAAAAAAY up there. I think of it as a 4x4 version of the classic mustang and repo and upgrade parts are plentiful unlike my B2. Just my .02 cents and that`s about what it`s worth!
yeah.. well.. I can't even compare dollar per smile with you guys, I am sure I did with my XJ, but this Rubicon is going to have to last me a while in order to make it close to what you guys have.
I think I have around 2-2.5k invested in mine total(Purchase price, upgrades, and general maintenence). Made a lot of my investments back through peddling parts around but having dual lockers, 33's, and a 4.6L stroker ain't bad for under 3k!
According to my wife -- $5,864.13 - for parts and purchase price. (including new tires, 2 trannys, stubbler, xfer case, lifts, other broncos for parts, losing a wheel, tranny flush and such) I have brought back in $1,150.00 selling stuff.
So $4,714.13 with 4 trips to CO, a bunch of trips to Tuttle and K-Rocks and one trip to Arkansas. 8 weeks of being a daily driver after the Tornado, and quite a few trips around town.
All and all a great toy, even if I have had a few problems getting here to there, sometimes.
