AHAHAHAHA what a mess :P. My controller freaked yesterday and before i knew what happened it had been on for well over 25 seconds. Damn the bad luck, i lost a glowplug. Pulled it out and it looked perfect but just had no life. know what i did, haha i put that other glow plug from my experiments in lol. kaboom started just fine. lol. So i went to ford, got a new gp and off and running but this was all i needed to secure a momentary switch and roll manual. Its like theft protection and makes me feel better.
no its new style for the 89 engine but has been on the way out for awhile, works the manual switch perfectly but even with the new gp it is twitchy at best.
Check your ground wire for the controller, if it's got poor connection to the intake manifold (that's where it grounds at) it will cause the controller to keep 'em glowing longer.
lcam,
It is grounded directly onto the battery, i soldered a new wire onto the lead coming from the controller and hooked it up, which worked perfect for a few weeks but the failing controller finally departed haha. No biggie.
Festus, lmfao haha
ghunt, yeah i know what you mean, just didnt want anymore damage from it.
