TURBO TIME
I got an itch to put a turbo on my '97 Ranger with the 2.3 4 banger. If I'm correct the 2.3 4 banger in the mid-80's Mustang svo and the turbocoupe thunderbirds is basically the same motor as mine aside from the dual plugs and distributorless ignition. I know I need an aftermarket fuel management computer 'cause factory ecus typically don't like boost,but my main concern is will the turbo manifold from a svo 'stang or turbocoupe thunderbird fit on my ranger. I'd rather not have to fab a turbo header 'cause my inability to fab or weld for that matter,but I do like a challenge.Most of this is just a dream for now since its comin' up on Christmas and I gotta by my kids presents soon. Alright I'm done rambling for now,but I would like everbodys comments and ideas about this turbo idea. I've gotta go now ( gotta put kids to bed )

I am a V-8 swap guy, but I have heard of this swap being done quite a bit. Possibly the T-bird/svo header may fit the way it is, theres plenty of room on that side.
We built a nice 2.3 with a weber 32/36 for a buddies old 83 4x4 Ranger, the header came off a Mustang, it fit real well with a minimum of grinding.......yours could not be much different.
