HELP: buy 1st vs. 2 generation Explorer?
Guys,
I am looking into getting an SUV to replace my wife´s car. My daily driver is a '94 Bronco but I'd like to get an X for her. Now, in terms of ruggedness and reliability as well as handling/road holding, which are better: the 1991-4 or the 1995-2000 Explorers?, thank you!(... my second choice would be a mid 1990's Cherokee XJ, any thoughts?)

we have a 96 EXP and it probalby drives like your Bronco. I have a 2002 EXP with independant suspension, and i will be it drives BETTER than your wifes car.. Get a 2002 or newer and she will be much happoer.. go drive one !

Hi, thanks for replying but my budget is restricted to a mid 1990's SUVs, I was also thinking about an early 1990's Toyota 4Runner... by the way, my wife's car is a 1994 Honda Civic... (our family has enlarged so we need extra room plus 4x4...)
