4.6L Engine
Hey Guys,
I am needing some help. I blew the motor in my 2002 Explorer. It's a 4.6L. The tensioner failed, jumped time and ground down the guides and of course, all the metal chips (which was alot) went into the engine. It's locked up real tight. Well, I have found a 4.6 Ford Engine out of 04 P-71 Interceptor (Crown Vic), will this work? I talked to the parts guy that has the engine and he said if I have a W as the 8th digit in the VIN (which I do), it will work. But when I called the Ford garage, he said he didn't think so. HELP!!! Thanks so much!!
