no compression
i have an 2000 f-250 5.4L the truck has had a intermitent skip for a couple months... but thought nothing of it as it was usually just a coil. 210,000 miles on it. Well tore into it tonight to figure which coil needed to be replaced and to find out the #4 cylinder has 0 compression... NOW WHAT???

should also add that the exhaust manifold on that side was leaking for a while and replaced that a few weeks ago.

first do the test again... maybe even with another gauge, if it's still zero then tearing into the motor should be considered. or even a new motor
with a code reader does it indicate that theres a missfire for cyl4?

no the cop is good... not sure about the mark on the crank. what does that the position have to do with testing the compression? (not being a dick, i am curious... just dont no how to word it different)

My 4.6 Intech (01 Lincoln Cont. W 155000 miles) lost compression on #6 cylinder and I pulled just that head and found a burned Exhaust valve.
