Tranny question
I have an 86 f150 with a 302 and I am not sure what kind of tranny I have. It is an automatic but that is all I know.

Look on the sticker onyour driver's side door pillar under trans. there should be a code letter. Post the letter on here and somebody will know what you've got.

Tranny question
jameslfusco, Being its an 86, 302 engine, with an automatic transmission, it would likely be the AOD trans.

Its an automatic overdrive transmission.

Hey guy...I used this link to idenify my trans...it had all the pan shapes and # of bolts etc. I printed it for future referance...hope link works and helps..Al
