Airbag Code 32

Hey all I have a 99 Navi. Today while driving my airbag light started to blink. It will blink 3 times pause then 2 times. Code 32. All of the reading I have done on it tells me that it is the clock spring in the steering column. The part that makes me wonder is all of the other controls on the steering wheel and the horn still work. Is it possible to just the contacts for the airbag to wear out ?

Yes the airbag contacts wear out. Just change the clock spring and you should be all set.
