1987 bronco idle problem help
put a new 4180 carb on a 351 was running good. then filled up with gas then started running higher rpm adjusted idle.next day started hard would not idle u can hold at 3000rpm. seems to stay cranked.now u can hold gas pedal at 2000 rpm then it starts to die pump the gas pedal will stay running but hold at 2000 rpm slowly dies help any suggestions??????/this truck runs good one day and bad the other.found the shift linkage was not right trans shifting into second gear way to high readjusted then ran the truck down the road shifted good parked next day back to shifting hard go figure. on the fuel new carb and new fuel pump.if by filling up with gas i could have got some trash but wouldnt that make it run rough all the way around?(manual fuel pump)

ok now it idles at 1100rpm warms up drive around house fine but took it out on main road got back parked idles at 2000 rpm. do nothing next morning go out and crank warms up idles at 1100.take out on main rd park idles at 2000 rpm could my advance idle on distributer getting stuck when hot then when it cools down it releases ????
