Locker ID

Ok, a related question. When shopping around for a limited slip, what digit on the tag # will indicate that it is a locker or limited slip ? From memory there should be an L in one set of numbers. Also, if this is off the ground - will they turn in the same direction when spinning one tire ? I'm aware that the non limited slips turn opposite .....

The tag will say "4L10" for a 4.10 ratio limited slip, or 3L55 etc. (410 or 355... for an open rear) The first digit is usually covered by the bolt that holds the tag on so it will look like L10 or L55 or whatever the ratio is, you should definitely be able to see the L

trac lok, powr lok which usually are common in fords. the L will be showing on the tag like mentioned above. would definetly pull cover for further inspection. If a air locker will not if air pressure not engaged/ selectable locker.
