That's cast you're not going to weld it.
How on earth did you break that?

Definitely replace the piece, and I'd go with new u-bolts on that side.

Well, playing with my truck, isn't supposed to be HEAVY DUTY? it looks like the part is separate from the axle, can it be replaced?

Yes, it can be replaced. Just search on any auto parts store website for "sway bar links" for your year and model of truck. They shouldn't be too expensive. $40-50 I believe.

its definately gonna be a dealer only, or junkyard part.

That almost looks like it's either part of or welded to the axle housing.

You can still drive the truck though. Just take the sway bay off completely, just don't take corners too fast until you know how it handles.

I would try a junk yard/ salvage yard, you'l probably find it there.

Whoops, sorry. Your pictures didn't load on my work computer. I was just going by your description which sounded like a sway bar link to me.

I took my sway bar off about a year and a half ago. I got tired of constantly changing the bushings to stop the clunking. I was a little leery at first , but it handled very well, so I just left it off. You should be OK with it off until you can get parts, or you may find you don't really need it.

hey i dont know the name of it but the U bolts that retain the axle bolt to it and the break has explosed the U bolt not much holding on that corner NOT REAL SAFE TO DRIVE LIKE THAT. puts to much stress on rest of the bracket just my opinion
