need help identifiying part?

the part looks like a metal coffe can right above the driver sides tire as well as the passengers under the hood looks just like a metal coffe can

Vacuum canister reservoir. It stores vacuum for use during multiple braking if the vacuum pump cannot keep up. It is a coffee can, all sealed up with a hose barb for connection.

well i wont be using the cruise controll still havent taken it in for the original recall

It IS a coffee can! they just forgot the coffee...

Recall was for the pressure switch that disengages cruise when you brake!
