ac charging system

I have a 96 Bronco 5.0 Where is the ac low side service port?

I believe it's over close to the dryer on the AC line. I don't know about wheter it's R12 or 134 though. Did they make the switch over in 96?

There's two lines coming out of the compressor. The one going to the radiator in the front of the engine is the compressed gas going to release it's heat and become a liquid. That's the high pressure side. The other line on the compressor leads into the cab. That's the line that has the expanded liquid that picks up heat from the cab and carries it back to the compressor. That's your low side. So there should be a schrader valve on that line that you're calling "low side service port"

it comes stock 134 in 96. no need for swap.

thanks for your time. I appreciate the info. as it turns out the compresor is shot so i cant charge the system any way. will replace then recharge.
